Stones '24

I'm grounded by stones. Running them through my hands, appreciating the texture manifested by time and the elements creates peace in otherwise tumultuous times. My stone watercolors attempt to re-create that feeling of peace and weathering in simple,  yet precarious stacks and compositions, with complex and detailed textures. This series of stones are/were created in the second half of 2024 and are a purer form of my previous stacks which included other structural and conceptual elements. In these paintings, I've chosen to keep the elements simple. Tranquil.
