Soulmates 01 - Mixed media on paper - 16 x 20 inches

Carefully curated, numbered, and adhered to reclaimed archival heavyweight paper, these tape juxtapositions are symbolic of human relationships and the bonds that form throughout our lives. The glue holding them together will likely stand the test of time, but similar to relationships, bonds may weaken and pairs may separate, fall, and come to rest at the inside bottom of the frame, alone, or with other partners. This “living” work of art embodies the idea that "art mimics life".

Size & Framing: The artwork is 16 x 20 inches and 17.5 x 21.5 x 1.5 inches framed. The warm, white paper substrate lived as backing for my water color paintings on the walls of a gallery in London for almost a year. It traversed the ocean back to me to be used in these pieces. The artwork is wrapped in a custom hardwood frame with spacers that allow the artwork to live and breathe. The work is protected with UV non-glare acrylic (plexiglass). Each artwork comes with an informational certificate of authenticity adhered to the back of the piece with archival adhesive, mounted to acid free foam board.

Materials & Quality: This artwork is one-of-a-kind and has the unique qualities of a hand-crafted work of art. The piece is made with reclaimed materials, and archival materials where possible. Shipping: Artwork will ship within 5 to 7 business days of final payment. Each artwork will be wrapped in acid-free glassine, bubble wrap and packed securely in a custom box. Shipping times will vary based on location and shipping method selected. NOTE FOR COLLECTORS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES: At purchase, the website may charge you shipping above the actual shipping amount. If I find this to be the case, I will refund the difference in shipping after the artwork has been received by you. Any import taxes, duties or tariffs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
