Soulmates

These three pieces were created with reclaimed masking tape from my "Monumentality" and "Formality of Space" Schema paintings. Carefully curated, numbered, and adhered to reclaimed archival heavyweight paper*, these tape juxtapositions are symbolic of human relationships and the bonds that form throughout our lives. The glue holding them together will likely stand the test of time, but similar to relationships, bonds may weaken and pairs may separate, fall, and come to rest at the bottom of the frame, alone, or with other partners. This “living” work of art embodies the idea that "art mimics life".
