Soulmates

These carefully curated pieces were created with reclaimed masking tape from my Schema paintings. Numbered, adhered to archival heavyweight paper, and wrapped in hardwood frames, these tape juxtapositions are symbolic of human relationships and the bonds that form throughout our lives. The glue holding them together will likely stand the test of time, but similar to relationships, bonds may weaken and pairs may separate, fall, and come to rest at the bottom of the frame, alone, or with other partners. This “living” work of art embodies the idea that "art mimics life".
